No Justice: How The Chicago Police Department Has Failed To Solve Thousands Of Rape Cases In Last Decade!



In Chicago, more than 15,000 people reported being raped in the last decade through April, 2019. Police only made arrests in a fraction of these cases. In the same timeframe, the total number of arrests has dropped 64 percent. In 2017, more than 1,759 sexual assaults were reported. Police made arrests in only 114 of those cases – just over 6 percent. The conviction rate could be even less.
