Four police officers from a Macomb County auto theft unit sustained minor injuries Thursday during the pursuit of a man accused of stealing a car. The suspect, Dylan Michael Yates, 23, was charged Thursday with receiving and concealing stolen property, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest causing injury and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. If convicted, Yates faces a penalty of up to five years in prison for the receiving and concealing stolen property charge alone. A magistrate at the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township set Yates’ bond at $50,000. Macomb County Sheriff Lt. Brian Barlog said he is currently being held at the Macomb County Jail.
