The city of Ferguson, Missouri is in chaos following the police shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager. Ferguson, a predominantly African-American area, is run by a government and police force in which black people are grossly underrepresented — and the mostly white have proven themselves to be exactly the opposite of the most enlightened individuals regarding race relations.
The African-American community’s anger has spilled over into the streets, which has unfortunately resulted in rioting and looting.
Anonymous has vowed to get involved, and that simple justice for Michael Brown is not enough. The collective of hacktivists wants change–real change — from the top down. The hackers promised that if the protesters were harassed by police, they would begin releasing info – but since that warning police have continued a campaign of chemical warfare against protesters, and one more life has been lost at the hands of law enforcement.
