Civilians kill 200 Boko Haram terrorists In Borno

Locals figting against Boko Haram
The rise of civilians against terror has taken the Boko Haram saga to a new turn.
Citizens of Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge a local government area in northeast Borno, received intelligence of an impending Boko Haram attack and decided not to remain sitting ducks but prepare for battle.
Borno Locals
According to reports received from Civilian sources in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed Rann and neighbouring villages in the early hours of Tuesday. They proceeded with their usual convoy of Hilux trucks, motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers) only to be met by villagers ready for them. The civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords and “charms”. The battle raged till the sunrise and ended with the civilians killing over 200 Boko Haram terrorists, capturing several prisoners and recovering several of their vehicles.
A civilian, who participated in defending the neighbourhoods, said, “Our people also recovered over 70 motorcycles that the attackers came with. They also collected 2 Hilux vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) while some of the attackers were captured alive”.

This amazing victory of good over evil, promises a new direction in the war against terror that has wrecked hundreds of farming villages in the north of Nigeria in the last four years, largely unchecked by State security. Civilians are determined to arrest a situation they believe the Nigerian security services has allowed to destroy their farming villages. They have now apparently decided take up a fighting posture against Boko Haram terrorists instead of waiting for a military response that rarely comes.
Last week, Boko Haram terrorists ravaged the town of Gondura Ngala, without any obstruction from the Nigerian military drafted to the North. Decimating the entire town and killing over 300 residents in the process. A month ago, the terrorist group stormed Chibok and abducted over 200 girls. Amnesty International reported that the Nigerian security services were fully informed of the impending attack, by civilian vigilantes and other Intel several hours before the attack took place. Despite this, they did not alert or defend the village nor engage the terrorists for a full eight hours of the abduction, looting and destruction of the village.
A mother from Chibok reportedly told CNN, “if the army is not ready to fight Boko Haram, then we will fight them ourselves”. Apparently that day has come.
The Civilian-JTF and ENDS.ng civil rights group are pressing the Nigerian government for the civilians to have the right and government support, to bear arms, to end the terror scourge once and for all. The government is yet to officially respond to this urgent request as villagers remain at the mercy of Boko Haram terrorists.
The Shehu of Bama is reported to have ordered his citizens to go get guns, after his town was completely decimated twice by Boko Haram terrorists with no military response for the full eight hours of butchery. More towns are expected to follow suit as the nation's leadership sleeps and permits terrorists the largely unhindered freedom to operate, massacre and destroy Nigeria’s farmers and northern farming villages.

Nigerian people have organized self-defense detachments to fight militants from the Boko Haram organization. The detachments have already killed 200 militants.

A military conflict between the self-defense detachments and the militants occurred in Kala/Balge, Borno State, at the border with Cameroon. The militia managed to foresee Boko Haram's attack and seize the militants' arms and transport.
The term Boko Haram means "Westernization is a sin." Terrorists from this organization usually attack schools. In mid April they kidnapped more than 270 schoolgirls from a lycée in the town of Shibok. The terrorists said that they were ready to sell them as slaves or marry them off. Boko Haram followers want to create an Islamic state in the north of Nigeria.

Nigerian civilians kill 200 Boko Haram militants
A replay of the epic battle between David and Goliath took place Tuesday morning when Boko Haram insurgents met their waterloo in the hands of civillian citizens of Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area, Borno northeast. Haven obtained prior information on an impending attack by Boko Haram prepared a big surprise package for them.

According to report, they launched an unbridled offensive against the insurgents, killing over 200 of them!
The terrorists reportedly numbering over 400 drove in in their usual lackadaisical manner with cars, trucks, pick-ups, bikes, even Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) when they suddenly ran into a well organized and prepared villagers armed to the teeth waiting for them.

Before the insurgents could make a maneuver, the angry villagers pounced on them and unleashed a mayhem of rocks, knives, local guns, bows and arrows, even African magic on them, and before long, the frightened terrorist, haven lost total composure of themselves, scampered for safety not grasping what had hit them.
The rampage ended with the terrorists losing more than 200 of their members, a feat hardly ever achieve by the well armed, more organized security operatives. The mythical civilians went home with their noble trophies of POWs (Prisoners of war), lethal arms, bikes and several vehicles.

This feat could best be described as “AMAZING” haven beaten every imaginable imagination; itself a reminder that one’s own security lies in one’s own hands. These heroic villagers have, thereby, set a precedent for other villagers, and at the same time sending signals to the security outfits scattered in various parts of the country that they have woefully failed the citizens they were intended to protect.

The Boko Haram terrorists have been getting free hands in several parts of Northern Nigeria where they ruthlessly kill and maim, leaving trails of destruction and ruin behind, the penultimate incidence being the razing of Gondura Ngala town and killing over 300 residents in the wake of the event.
Other gory incidences include the abduction of over 30 persons from Dikwam who till date are yet to be accounted for; also in the long list of events is the abduction of over 300 girls from their school in the middle of the night from Chibok which have eluded every search effort and technique regardless of the unprecedented publicity accorded it.

Foreign powers have waded into the fight against terrorism in the popular belief that the federal government is performing far below expectation in the cause.
