America : U.S. Special Forces, Foreign Troops practice Martial Law Invasion in Florida

TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -
Downtown Tampa looked like it was under attack on Wednesday afternoon.
Special Forces team members from several nations participated in a public display of their capabilities in front of a crowd of several thousand people.
Special Forces teams dropped out of helicopters into the water, while others landed on the roof of Tampa General Hospital as part of a mock invasion.
The display is part of the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa this week.
More than 80 nations had members of their military at the conference.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says it's an important event for Tampa.
"It's huge, not only does it showcase that we have a headquarters for Special Operations Command and Central Command, but I think it reinforces in the decision makers in Washington D.C. what an important base this is, why it's here and why it should never be at risk," said Buckhorn.
Inside the conference, major military suppliers are showing off their products.
Boeing and Lockheed Martin have large booths showing off the latest in unmanned vehicles, or drones.
Other vendors have weapons systems on display, while others are selling tactical armor for special forces team operators.
Other smaller vendors are also represented. Tampa based Ac4s is a contractor that supplies military support all over the world.
"We get the opportunity to have direct interaction with military and government decision makers to demonstrate our capabilities," said Billy Hogan of Ac4s.
For anyone in downtown Tampa on Wednesday afternoon, the public display of helicopters and explosions, was just fun to watch.
