40% Of US Workers Now Earn Less Than 1968 Minimum Wage

Are American workers paid enough?  That is a topic that is endlessly debated all across this great land of ours.  Unfortunately, what pretty much everyone can agree on is that American workers are not making as much as they used to after you account for inflation.  Back in 1968, the minimum wage in the United States was $1.60 an hour.  That sounds very small, but after you account for inflation a very different picture emerges.  Using the inflation calculator that the Bureau of Labor Statistics provides, $1.60 in 1968 is equivalent to $10.74 today. 

And of course the official government inflation numbers have been heavily manipulated to make inflation look much lower than it actually is, so the number for today should actually be substantially higher than $10.74, but for purposes of this article we will use $10.74.  If you were to work a full-time job at $10.74 an hour for a full year (with two weeks off for vacation), you would make about $21,480 for the year.

That isn’t a lot of money, but according to the Social Security Administration, 40.28% of all workers make less than $20,000 a year in America today.  So that means that more than 40 percent of all U.S. workers actually make less than what a full-time minimum wage worker made back in 1968.  That is how far we have fallen.

The other day I wrote an article which discussed the transition that we are witnessing in our economy right now.  Good paying full-time jobs are disappearing, and they are being replaced by low paying part-time jobs.  So far this year, 76.7 percent of the jobs that have been “created” in the U.S. economy have been part-time jobs.

MEDIA: WE NOW LIVE IN ‘POST-CONSTITUTIONAL AMERICA’

Has the very notion that we still have the Constitution and Bill of Rights as a legal basis now laughable? Media reports have begun addressing our society as ‘post-constitutional America’, and perhaps they’re tragically correct.

In the entire history of the nation, and in what should include today, the Constitution has stood as the indisputable law of the land. And in the eyes of those who understand how true liberty and true tyranny work, it certainly still should be. But in the eyes of those who wish to dismantle it in order to further the takeover and control of the United States public, the Constitution is now nothing more than a piece of paper standing in the way of their incessant absorption of power.

HOT WAR ON THE CONSTITUTION

I’m talking about the sociopaths that head up the Department of Homeland Security, which goes way beyond simply ignoring the Constitution. The worthless, expensive, and damaging agency behind the TSA now openly challenges the Constitution’s authority and the very founding principals of the United States with its own regulations. No longer are these government agencies in a ‘cold war’ of sorts against the Constitution and civil liberties, in fact, but an openly hot one that is increasing like never before.

Specifically, I’m talking about the DHS creation of literal ‘Constitution free zones’, in which the agency stands above the Constitution in authority and declares that the Bill of Rights does not exist for over 197 million within this nation. We’re talking about searches with no suspicion or warrants that essentially burn the Fourth Amendment.

‘POST-CONSTITUTIONAL AMERICA’ 

And that’s not even getting into the highly invasive TSA ‘security’ measures that include groping young boys and detaining 3-year-old little girls in wheelchairs with medical conditions on their way to Disney World. That alone is enough to add credence to the notion of a ‘post-constitutional America’, which is the phrase used in an Alternet article I discovered entitled ‘We’re in a Post-Constitutional America: Our Country Is Going Sideways in Plain Sight, and Nobody’s Saying Much About It’.

The sad reality is that the article is really quite on point, as devastating of an admission as that is. We now have whistleblowers like Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning demonized by the discredited media for revealing the inner workings of our corrupt government, and it’s now up to foreign nations to rescue them from our own government. And unless we do something about the erosion of our liberties now, the Constitution is quickly on track to be completely erased by the very same high level politicians who seek to destroy it.

AFRICANGLOBE – Journalists listen to the chemical weapons expert’s testimony A White South African scientist has told the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that the White apartheid government considered trying to develop a bacteria which would kill only Africans. The former head of a military research laboratory, Daan Goosen, told the commission that the project had the backing of South Africa’s then Surgeon General, who described it as “the most important project in the country.” Although the substance was “officially” never developed, Mr Goosen said that an unknown European scientist claimed to have developed a strain of bacteria in the early 1980s “capable of killing pigmented people”. “It could have been used as a negotiation back-up,” Mr Goosen told the Commission. “A thing like this could have been used to maintain peace. It was a case of being the strongest.” Plans to travel to Europe for a meeting were abandoned because of fears that it could be a trap, but the witness said South African scientists continued their own work on the project, and also looked into methods of making Blacks selectively infertile. Goosen also said he and his immediate supervisor, Wouter Basson, had discussed the possibility of killing Nelson Madela and Oliver Tambo – then President of the ANC – through the use of carcinogens, as well as arranging the supply of snake venom “to eliminate an enemy of the state.” In other testimony, the former head of the police forensics laboratory, General Lothar Neethling, told the Commission that he had been instructed to supply Basson with confiscated supplies of narcotic drugs such as marijuana, LSD and Mandrax. The intention, he said, was to extract the active ingredients for insertion into crowd-control grenades. It was alleged that officials plotted to mentally disable Nelson Mandela with poison during the final years of his imprisonment Mr Goosen told the commission he now realised that he was wrong to work on the projects, but said he had not been thinking rationally at the time. “It was a time of conflict” he said. “Communism was coming. It was total onslaught.”

It’s Official, Everyone Is Now A Terrorist According to The US Government

It’s official, every single American can now be classified as a terrorist by the US government. The label of ‘terrorist’ no longer applies to members of al-Qaeda of ‘extremists’, but the average citizen of this nation.

And I can show you how literally 100% of the population can be classified as a terrorist under the truly outrageous Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI characteristics that define a terrorist or terrorist activity. These broad qualifications of ‘terrorism’ that have spawned a new wave of absolute paranoia within the population regarding their fellow citizens, who the nightly news says may be sleeper cell terrorists.

Paranoia that has led to one woman facing an armed ‘terrorism taskforce’ who demanded a home search without a warrant after she ran a Google search for pressure cookers online. A search that, as it turns out, qualifies for terrorist activity within the United States of America. It has now come out that it was her employer that went and called in the police and subsequent ‘terrorism taskforce’ after it was discovered that this law-abiding woman and her family had searched for backpacks along with ‘pressure cookers’ on Google.

And it was this event that inspired me to share with you how, no matter what you do or how good you are, you are a terrorist in the eyes of the United States government. Let’s look at just a few ways in which we can reach truly classify 100% of the American public as terrorists when combining these designations together.

Here are qualifications of a terrorist in the United States under the Department of Homeland Security and FBI guidelines.

‘TERRORISTS’ PAY WITH CASH

Have you ever paid with cash instead of a credit card? The FBI, operating alongside the DHS in helping to stop terrorism and detain terrorists, says you are likely a terrorist if you do so often. Under the FBI’s Communities Against Terrorism (CAT) program, using cash instead of debt-inducing credit cards means that you are a terrorist suspect. In addition to over 24 other flyers on how to help ‘identify’ terrorists, the tendency to pay with cash is listed as a red flag of terrorism.

‘TERRORISTS’ CARE ABOUT PRIVACY

If you’re concerned about the NSA spying on all of your private emails or listening to your intimate phone calls, you are likely a terrorist under FBI guidelines. And don’t even consider voicing concern for your privacy in a public area, which the FBI says is a definite red flag of a terrorist. According to the FBI and Justice Department’s Communities Against Terrorism initiative, as reported by Slate, being concerned about your privacy might just send you to Guantanamo.

‘TERRORISTS’ COMPLAIN ABOUT TAP WATER

Have you ever complained about your tap water, or objected to the literal thousands of contaminants inside the municipal water supply? You’re definitely a terrorist. As I reported back in June, a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) explained to citizens touring the municipal water plant that complaining about tap water could land you on the terrorist watchlist. He told them:

“But you need to make sure that when you make water quality complaints you have a basis, because federally, if there’s no water quality issues, that can be considered under Homeland Security an act of terrorism.”

So next time your water smells like excessive chlorine, make sure you aren’t taking on the role of a terrorist by reporting it to the water department.

‘TERRORISTS’ KNOW ABOUT GMOS

Extremist terrorists most of all are familiar with GMOs and dare to agree that they should be labeled, which 93-96% of the country actually is in favor of. According to a major report out of Germany, this demographic is even targeted by the US military for desiring GMO labeling and all forms of political activism. So just this category alone covers about 96% of the US population alone, leaving around 4% left to be absorbed through other terrorist activities.

Now even knowing about something and having an opinion on the matter is an act of terror.

In 2013, everything you do and say can be classified as an act of terrorism by the United States government. Sadly, the public was duped into thinking that unconstitutional legislation like the Patriot Act was truly enacted in order to protect Americans from al-Qaeda and similar threats. But today, you are the terrorist, and Obama is now openly funding al-Qaeda groups with caches of weaponry and direct financing. You are now the terrorist, and the Syrian rebels linked to al-Qaeda are now the good guys.
