Now that Neil deGrasse Tyson has “made it” as a widely-loved science “ambassador” of sorts, he decided to go one step further than just educating the general public and drop a little knowledge on his fellow scientists.
A poorly-posed question was raised in Dr. Tyson’s presence, referring to disturbing comments made by former Treasury Security and Harvard University President Lawrence Summers. Summers suggested that genetic differences explain why there are fewer girls in science than man.
Such offensive comments from Harvard heavyweights are nothing new, but instead of going there, let’s focus on Neil deGrasse Tyson’s response. It’s about the best thing ever.
