NEWS Titanic II: Check Out These Stunning Photos of the Replica Ship

People have a fascination with the Titanic — the doomed ship that sank more than 100 years ago in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Called the “ship of dreams,” the Titanic was unlike anything people had seen before. And now, travelers may have the chance to see it again.
Australian billionaire Clive Palmer and his company Blue Star Line have announced plans to unveil a ship that is physically identical to the Titanic.

At 882 feet long by 100 feet high, the fully functioning replica will be the same size as the original but will include modern safety and navigational features.
When all is said and done, the “Titanic II” will cost nearly $434 million.
The ship is expected to set sail in 2018 from Jiangsu in eastern China to Dubai. The first Titanic originally set sail from Southampton on its way to New York.
Until then, take a look at proposed photos next to original archive photographs of the actual Titanic. If the project is completed, it looks like passengers are in for a really luxurious ride.
