Race Matters: Louis Vuitton Sued After London Store Manager Called Black People “Slaves Who Eat Dirt Off The Floor”

oliver koffi

Top fashion house Louis Vuitton is being sued over racism claims after a boss at a flagship store allegedly told an African employee: “Black people are slaves who eat dirt off the floor.” Sales associate Oliver Koffi claims he was in a stock room packing a pair of shoes for a customer when his manager began the shocking race rant in front of stunned staff. He alleged that the manager called Barack Obama a “muppet” and said America would be better off with “Miss Piggy” as its president because “Muslim people… don’t eat pork”.

Mr Koffi says he was left humiliated by the “black slaves” slur while working at the label’s store in Central London. Details of the allegations emerged in papers which will be presented to a Central London Employment Tribunal on July 18. Mr Koffi is suing Louis Vuitton for racist discrimination and harassment. He claims his manager’s tone of voice was “cold and serious” as he made the comments during a discussion on the origins of the English language with him and three other members of staff in December last year. Mr Koffi said: “During this discussion, my manager quite randomly stated that ‘black people are slaves and eat dirt off the floor’.

“This comment was grossly offensive and extremely humiliating. “His reference to slavery in this day and age with regards to black people is quite frankly revolting.” He says he recorded the offensive comments on tape after concerns over the manager’s alleged “racist conduct”.

He added: “He went on a rant about black people and other races and religions. He jumped from subject to subject, making comments about other races and religions. He made comments about Barack Obama. “All of his comments were derogatory and a clear illustration of his prejudices towards other races and religions. Mr Koffi says the manager, who left his job following a disciplinary proceeding, had previously questioned him about his nationality, asking, “where are you originally from?” and often referred to customers by their skin colour.

He alleges that the manager’s frequent remarks about Asian people and his comments about some Louis Vuitton products being “s***” because they were “made in China” created a “hostile and intimidating” working environment. Louis Vuitton accepts that the racist comment was made but defends the claim on the basis the company had taken all reasonably practicable steps to prevent the racist comment.

Yesterday a spokeswoman for Louis Vuitton said: “Louis Vuitton has a zero-tolerance policy to harassment of any kind.

ISIL declares new 'Islamic caliphate'

Rebels fighting in Iraq under ISIL banner announce creation of Islamic state, extending from Diyala to Syria's Aleppo.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the armed group fighting governments in Iraq and Syria, has announced the establishment of a "caliphate" straddling the two countries.
In an audio recording distributed online on Sunday, the ISIL declared its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as "the caliph" and "leader for Muslims everywhere".

Baghdadi is believed to be the leader of ISIL, which announced that it is now called "The Islamic State".

According to the statement, the new caliphate stretches from Iraq's Diyala province to Syria's Aleppo.
"The Shura (council) of the Islamic State met and discussed this issue (of the caliphate)... The Islamic State decided to establish an Islamic caliphate and to designate a caliph for the state of the Muslims," said ISIL spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani.

"The words 'Iraq' and 'the Levant' have been removed from the name of the Islamic State in official papers and documents," Adnani said, describing the caliphate as "the dream in all the Muslims' hearts" and "the hope of all jihadists".

Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reporting from the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, said that a caliphate is effectively an Islamic Republic led by one leader, regardless of national boundaries.
With the announcement, the armed group is declaring that they are now legitimate, declaring the caliphate as the "true Muslim state", he said.

The announcement might bring up problems with other Sunni fighters in Iraq, who are fighting the central government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, and not fighting for the caliphate, our correspondent said.

Tikrit offensive
The ISIL announcement came even as Iraq's army pressed ahead with its offensive to recapture the northern city of Tikrit.

Troops backed by helicopter gunships began an assault on Tikrit, the birthplace of former President Saddam Hussein, on Saturday, to try to take it back from ISIL fighters who have swept to within driving range of Baghdad.

The army sent in tanks and helicopters to battle ISIL fighters near the University of Tikrit in the city's north on Sunday, security sources said.

The offensive was the first major attempt by the army to retake territory after the United States sent up to 300 advisers, mostly special forces, and drones to help the government take on ISIL.
Earlier on Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Hussain al-Shahristani, one of Iraq's most senior politicians, faulted the US for not doing enough to bolster the country's military, just hours after Russia delivered five Sukhoi jets.

"Yes, there has been a delay from the Americans in handing over contracted arms. We told them, 'You once did an air bridge to send arms to your ally Israel, so why don't you give us the contracted arms in time?'" he told al-Hurra television.

US officials have disputed similar statements from Iraqi officials in the past and say they have done everything possible to ensure the country is equipped with modern weaponry.

The five Russian Sukhoi jets were delivered to Baghdad late on Saturday. State television said they "would be used in the coming days to strike ISIL terrorist groups".

United Nations Seeks US-based Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Specialists

It’s no secret that the United Nations, with assistance from members of the Executive and Legislative branches in the United States, has been actively working to reduce Americans’ accessibility to firearms. In 2012 President Obama, along with then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, spearheaded a backdoor move that would have imposed gun control on the United States through foreign means by signing a global disarmament initiative known as the Small Arms Treaty. Though that attempt failed, mass shooting incidents at Sandy Hook and elsewhere have kept the pressure on gun owners with the President having made repeated suggestions that he would mandate gun restrictions through Executive Order should state and federal legislatures fail to act.

Given the rocky history between America’s gun owners and the United Nations, chances are that the push for disarmament will continue with more ferver than ever before. In fact, a recent job posting at the United Nations website suggests that the organization is not only working to get guns out of the hands of American citizens, they are actively preparing personnel to assist in what they call “disarmament, demobilization and reintegration” activities. And if that’s not bad enough, the duty station for this key U.N. Peacekeeping Operations department is New York city, suggesting that the organization believes such operations may be commencing in the United States at some point in the future.

If you’d like to join them in their efforts to confiscate firearms then you can apply directly at the United Nations Career Opportunities page:

Full Listing / Video Commentary

According to the United Nations information page on ‘DDR’ operations, the New York post will involve various aspects related to the process by which a governing organization would confiscate firearms, all of which target what the U.N. calls “small arms.”

Disarmament is the collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons from combatants and often from the civilian population.
Demobilization is the formal and controlled discharge of active combatants from armed forces and groups, including a phase of “reinsertion” which provides short-term assistance to ex-combatants.
Reintegration is the process by which ex-combatants acquire civilian status and gain sustainable employment and income. It is a political, social and economic process with an open time-frame, primarily taking place in communities at the local level.

The objective of the DDR process is to contribute to security and stability in post-conflict environments so that recovery and development can begin. DDR helps create an enabling environment for political and peace processes by dealing with security problem that arises when ex-combatants are trying to adjust to normal life, during the vital transition period from conflict to peace and development.

Ambassador Faith Whittlesey, a U.S. delegate to the UN Small Arms Conference, warned in 2012 that the organization’s intention is to eventually disarm all Americans in the name of peace.

“In New York, right here on our own shores, we’ve got a Trojan horse. They won’t accept U.S. firearms policy. They want to take the decision away from the U.S. electorate and undermine our Constitution.”
It would seem that the heavy militarization of domestic law enforcement agencies coupled with ‘Doomsday’ legislative actions and Executive Orders designed to seize Americans’ resources and firearms in the event of a declared emergency may be synchronized with the involvement of foreign troops and officials. In fact, a press release from The Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense and Emergencies confirmed in 2013 that America’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be coordinate with foreign militaries and security teams during disaster operations on U.S.-soil:

Several documents signed during joint work of Russian Emergency Ministry and FEMA
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and the USA Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are going to exchange experts during joint rescue operations in major disasters.
The document provides for expert cooperation in disaster response operations and to study the latest practices.

In addition, the parties approved of U.S.-Russian cooperation in this field in 2013-2014, which envisages exchange of experience including in monitoring and forecasting emergency situations, training of rescuers, development of mine-rescuing and provision of security at mass events.

It’s no secret that the US government has been preparing riot gear, guns, ammunition, and detention centers for a major calamity that will likely involve violence and widespread civil unrest. Should such an event ever take place the first order of business will include a declaration of martial law. And just as we saw during Hurricane Katrina, when the U.S. Constitution has been suspended gun confiscation is soon to follow.
“No one will be able to be armed. We’re going to take all the weapons.”
-New Orleans Police Chief.

The majority of our service members who will be called upon in times of emergency may realize what is happening and refuse to negate their oaths to the U.S. Constitution when push comes to shove.
But foreign “peace keepers” deployed under the U.N banner will have no such convictions. They’re already here and they are getting ready… for you.

NSA $2 BILLION Data Center In Utah Paid A Surprise Visit

nsa blimp

“Blimp Buzzes NSA Data Center
In Anti-Surveillance Protest”

It is quite an extraordinary feat when a protest blimp can sneak up on the $2 billion NSA data center in Utah … and not get chased away by scrambled fighter jets.
One wonders whether the stand-down was actually purposeful, and that there are those within government who are also very unhappy with the degree of spying conducted on innocent US citizens every moment of every day.
As a protest to this unconstitutional, unlawful and unethical conduct systematically perpetrated on the American people, anti-surveillance groups decided to give the NSA a dose of their own medicine. As follows:
Anti-surveillance groups flew over the NSA’s massive Utah data center in a blimp on Friday in a dramatic protest against government surveillance.
Greenpeace, the digital rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation and the conservative Tenth Amendment Center sent up a message on a thermal airship for a flying protest above the agency’s $2 billion data center, which critics charge could be used to store nearly limitless amounts of Americans’ private information.
“NSA illegal spying below,” read a message on the blimp, with an arrow pointing straight down to the Bluffdale, Utah center.
“The public needs to be brought into the Congressional debate around surveillance reform happening right now,” the EFF’s Rainey Reitman said in a statement. “We’re flying an airship over the Utah data center, which has come to symbolize the NSA’s collect-it-all approach to surveillance, and demanding an end to the mass spying. It’s time for bold action in defense of our privacy.”
Greenpeace said it offered its blimp for the protest because the NSA’s surveillance also jeopardizes the basic free speech and free association rights of its environmental advocates. The conservative group, for its part, joined the fly-by to show that electronic surveillance is not a partisan issue.[1]
Can there be any greater threat to the freedoms of the USA than one which monitors your every electronic communication — telephone, email and text message?
Is there a more serious intrusion into your personal life than to have your private photos, letters and secret business data intercepted by some nameless bureaucrats in the US Federal Government’s data-mining center deep in the bowel of the NSA spying complex in Utah?
Clearly, the invasion of privacy, which the NSA spying represents to every resident of the planet who is connected to the internet, ought to be a grave concern.
It has become a HUGE concern to nations like Brazil and India who are now going off the grid — the USA-dominated grid, that is — so that they will not be subjected to such voyeuristic behavior. Those governments know that something can turn up in the process of the illegal NSA spying which could then be used against them. The entire workings of their respective governments can be seriously compromised because of information or data which is revealed through the NSA international spying program.
Likewise, US citizens are vulnerable to the acquisition of similar types of sensitive or compromising material, which the US Federal Government can then use against anybody, anywhere, anytime!
Now that poses an ongoing scenario whereby the Feds can exert coercive power over We The People at will. Can there be a more glaring example of what happened to Donald Sterling? Even though the NSA appears not to be involved, a highly confidential and very private conversation was splashed all over the internet which caused him to be fined $2.5 million, banned from the NBA for life, and the loss of his professional basketball team that he owned for 33 years.
You get the picture — anyone’s private information can be accessed, which can then be used against them now that the NSA has been given the green light to data mine 24/7, anywhere it has the capability to do so.

Father Faces Child Endangerment Charges After Son Skips Church

A father in Blanchester, Ohio was arrested and charged with child endangerment after his eight-year-old son skipped church.

According to reports, eight-year-old Justin Williamson chose not to board a Woodville Baptist Church van with his siblings and instead decided to play outside without informing his father.
“My kids run in the house in the living room here and tell me, ‘Hey, Dad, the church van’s here. We’re leaving. We’re going on to church,’ ” Jeffrey Williamson, Justin’s father, told WCPO 9.
Justin then reportedly took a half-mile walk down the road to go to the Family Dollar where he was approached by Blanchester police. Officers allege Justin was lost and did not know his way home, a claim Justin’s father vehemently denies.
“That’s definitely totally, totally untrue,” Williamson said. “He knows his way around this whole neighborhood right here.”
After bringing Justin back home, police began questioning Williamson.
“I told the cop he goes out in the neighborhood and plays every day with all the other kids,” Williamson said. “There’s a million kids around here that play. I know the parents. The parents know me.”
As his other children returned in the church van, Williamson was suddenly placed in handcuffs.
“The next thing you know, he comes up to me and he says, ‘You’re under arrest.’ My kids start crying their eyes out wondering why I’m getting arrested,”  Williamson said.
Not only was Williamson fired from his job after the story ran front page in the local paper, but his children now constantly fear he may be taken away again.
“Every time that we leave in our car or drive down the street or something like that, every time they see a cop in Blanchester, they freak out and say, ‘Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, are they going to arrest you?’ ” Williamson said.
Williamson is expected in Clinton County Municipal Court on July 15 where he says he will fight the charges against him.
“It’s ridiculous to me that I was arrested for this,” Williamson said.
Local residents are currently debating if the arrest was justified, with a majority siding with the father. Activities once considered normal childhood behavior have now begun prompting police action.
In 2012, a Texas mother was also arrested and jailed on child endangerment charges after allowing her children to ride scooters outside her home. Police claimed the children were in danger without parental supervision.

Another Unarmed Black Teenager Killed by Police #JusticeforJaba

Denzel Curnell: SC Teen Killed During Encounter With Police Officer

Witnesses say Denzel Curnell, 19, was killed when a police officer shot him while he was kneeling down with his hands behind his back. Denzel  was unarmed.
Last Saturday, 19 year old Denzel Curnell aka Jaba had an encounter with a police officer at the housing projects where he lived in Charleston, South Carolina. That unfortunate encounter has left the unarmed youth dead, shot in the head, and has raised a lot of unanswered questions. According to The Post and Courier, “ None of the half dozen residents who were interviewed were willing to give their names, but they all had the same story. They all believed that Curnell was shot while kneeling and had no weapon. Several said they saw it happen.”
A note left on the scene by a girl named Sunshine was attached to a pole where a memorial to Denzel was constructed near where he was shot. It read:
“JaBa was always a good person. He never bothered anyone. One day he was walking in the back of Bayside (Bridgeview’s former name) and he heard a voice that said put your hands behind your back, and he did that, and then the police shot him in the back, and we want justice for JaBa.”
Now the Charleston Police Chief, after being quite for days, is saying there is no evidence that the officer did anything wrong or even fired his gun. Even worse, the police department sent an email to city leaders saying Denzel’s death was a “possible suicide”. Police are saying they found a gun, but Denzel has no history of any criminal activity. Also, the spokesmen of the State Law Enforcement Division, who is investigating the incident said, “We were told there was a struggle, and a shot or shots were fired, and an individual is deceased. The officer is OK.” How can there be a struggle with an officer if this was a suicide?
This is the 23rd officer involved shooting in Charleston, SC this year alone. According to family and friends, Denzel Curnell had just completed basic training for the U.S. Army in Fort Benning, Ga. They said he mostly stayed in the house playing video games and rarely went outside. Disputing the allegations of Denzel’s killing being a possible suicide, his aunt, Sylvia Campbell said, ”He wanted to travel in the military. He wanted to get married and have children. His life was cut down at an early age.” Please sign the online petition calling for the prosecution of the officer who shot and killed Denzel “Jaba” Curnell #JusticeforJaba
Denzel “Jaba” Curnell, 19, died from a bullet wound to the head after an encounter with a South Carolina police officer on Friday night in, what authorities claim, was a suicide. But witnesses tell a different story, reports the Charleston City Paper.
Several witnesses, who refused to be named, say that Officer Jamal Medlin told Curnell to get down and put his hands behind his head as he walked through Charleston’s Bridgeview Village apartments. And once he did that, Medlin allegedly shot him in the back.
An autopsy, however, revealed that Curnell died from a bullet wound to the right side of his head—which still raises difficult questions, reports the Post and Courier.
Curnell, according to family, is left-handed and had everything to live for.
“He wanted to travel in the military. He wanted to get married and have children. His life was cut down at an early age,” said his aunt Sylvia Campbell.
Curnell, a recent graduate of Burke High School, was administratively discharged from basic training in Georgia.
When Curnell enlisted last fall, an Army officer saw a young man who could motivate himself and other recruits.
The recent Burke High School graduate was focused, confident and ready to take on rigorous training. A staff sergeant noted those qualities at a North Charleston recruiting substation, where prospective soldiers are evaluated.
“Future soldier has been outstanding,” the recruiter wrote in Curnell’s paperwork. He “would make a great addition to the U.S. Army.”
But during Curnell’s basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., officials noticed depression, hopelessness and separation anxiety. He had lost his mother to cancer earlier that year.
On the night of his death, Curnell’s step-father said that he had not noticed any “depressive behavior.”
Though family and friends say that Curnell did not have a weapon, Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen said in a press conference Monday afternoon that a firearm was recovered at the scene and there is “no evidence” that Medlin fired the shot that killed Curnell.
“A vacuum occurs, and rumors, speculation, and inaccurate information fuel a version of the event that can cause anger, distrust, disruption, and misinformation,” Mullen said. “It is especially disappointing when this misinformation creates a divide between the police and the community that we are working hard to foster positive relationships.”
Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr. released the following statement:
My heart goes out to the family of Denzel Curnell. It is so very sad to have a young life ended. Denzel and his family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers … Because the City police officer was at the scene, normal protocol require that this matter be investigated by the State Law Enforcement Division. They are in control of the investigation. It is not appropriate for the City to present the complete details until SLED’s investigation is concluded. I am completely confident that the results of the sled investigation will conclude that the City of Charleston police officer’s actions were proper in all circumstances.
Though police have not been forthcoming with information, Dot Scott, president of the local NAACP chapter said that “in this case, silence is not golden but is confusing and infuriating”:
Why was a young man with a clean legal record and a bright future in the military stopped by a police officer for simply being on the street? Why did his encounter with that officer end in what’s alleged to be his suicide —and why would a left-handed young man in a stressful situation shoot himself in the right side of the head? Why would an officer trying to stop a suicide be seen by witnesses with his weapon in his hand?
Why did the agency with the officer involved process the crime scene before SLED’s arrival? Why was the involved officer given time off and an opportunity to gather himself before speaking with investigators — a procedure usually followed when law enforcement officers fire their weapons and injure or kill their targets?”
Medlin, who has been on the force since to 2011, has been placed on paid leave pending the completion of an investigation.
A petition has been started to prosecute Medlin and hold him accountable for Curnell’s death.

Terrorist Attack Left All of Yemen In Darkness Last Week: Another Wake-Up Call

The rapid advance of jihadists throughout Iraq unnerves us. The goal of establishing a radical Islamist caliphate – providing a haven to thousands of violent individuals with a hatred of the West - should unnerve us. Because it’s the unknown next step that follows that keeps us awake at night, and reminds us of our vulnerability.
News from Yemen last week further underscores that sense, as we learned that anattack on the power lines left the entire nation of Yemen (with its 23 million people) without power for a day.
The country’s energy minister indicated that power lines were taken out, cutting power to all provinces. A ministry spokesman was quoted as saying “The act of sabotage at Kilometre 78 suspended the entire national power and energy grid, including at Marib’s gas plant, and cut power in all provinces.”
Image: alainonline.net
Apparently, the lines were attacked twice on June 9. Shortly after the damage from the first attack was repaired, militants reappeared for a second round, which led to the national power outage. The military responded with an operation that killed two attackers while wounding another six.
Image: saadanet.net
Nobody much likes to think about these things, but the threats are indeed real in Yemen and elsewhere. Last October, the Knights Templar – a breakaway group from  Mexico’s Michoacan drug cartel – took out the power grid in Michoacan state, attacking nine substations and leaving over 400,000 without electricity.
Image: arklatex912project
And then we had the attack last year on the substation in San jose, where assailants came in through manholes, cut the communications lines, and shot up transformers that subsequently failed.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has been aware of this type of threat to the U.S, power grid for some time, and commissioned a report to investigate these issues. In its analysis, the FERC used software to model the grid’s performance subsequent to loss of critical substations. The Wall Street Journal followed with a story based on the leaked FERC report, indicating that an attack on nine of the country’s 30 most vital substations (which were not identified) could potentially induce a lengthy and life-threatening coast-to-coast blackout.
In March, the FERC directed the North American Reliability Corporation (NERC) to develop reliability standards requiring owners and operators of the Bulk-Power System to address risks due to physical security threats and vulnerabilities.
NERC came out in May with proposed standards for transmission stations, transmission substations and associated primary control centers. They are a good start, but they are all about prevention. They look at the issue in an isolated fashion; they do not incorporate the necessary systems-thinking approach, and thus do not go far enough in addressing the problem.
Dr. Jason Black, Research Leader at Battelle Memorial Institute thinks we need to do more, and offers the following recommendations in a white paper highlighted by Smart Grid News:
1)   Evaluate risks across regional interconnections, rather than a single utility area and adjacent areas.
2)   Incorporate an all hazards threat assessment approach into the vulnerability assessments (for example, it’s not just physical, the cyber threat is real as well).
3)   Create plans for prevention, response, and recovery. (Prevention alone is not enough – what’s the rapid response plan IF something does happen)?

4)   Create a benefit-cost approach to compare investments in operational procedures or alternative sites to investments in physical grid security.
5)   Facilitate a more tailored and customized response on a site-by-site basis.
6)   Implement security measures to avoid disclosure of information to the wrong people who would do us harm.
The attack on Yemen’s grid was brought to my attention by Dr. Peter Pry, a former CIA Intelligence Officer who has written and lectured extensively on the topic of threats to the U.S. power grid. He is an expert in the space, has served on numerous congressional advisory groups concerning national security issues, (and will be speaking at the upcoming Power Grid Resilience Summit in September).  Pry had this to say on the matter.
I think that this attack in Yemen proves that attacking electric power grids, including national electric power grids, is definitely part of the terrorist game plan, including the Al Quaeda game plan.  If terrorists or the Knights Templar – a relatively unsophisticated organization – can figure this out, imagine what more sophisticated groups or nations such as Al Quaeda, Russia, China, and North Korea could do.  The bad guys have an integrated plan to take out everything at same time. It’s in their doctrine. That’s something our doctrine does not understand.
In such a world, leaving these critical security issues to the NERC and the individual – and relatively isolated efforts – of each transmission line owner simply doesn’t cut it.  A more comprehensive, sophisticated, and – dare I say – serious, approach would seem to be needed.
Correction: the article as originally posted erroneously characterized the attack on the U.S. substation as taking place in San Diego, when it in fact occurred in San Jose.

UNANIMOUS SCOTUS: OBAMA RECESS APPOINTMENTS VIOLATED CONSTITUTION

Today the Supreme Court unanimously held that President Barack Obama violated the Constitution when he made several appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and other agencies without Senate approval.

The Appointments Clause of the Constitution requires that all high-level executive branch positions (called "principal officers") and all federal judges be nominated by the president, then must be confirmed by the Senate. The Recess Appointments Clause provides that if the Senate is in recess, the president can make appointments that can continue up to two years.
Not able to get several controversial nominees confirmed, Obama waited until the Senate adjourned for several days, then declared the Senate to be in recess, and unilaterally filled all those positions.
Obama made the shocking claim that he can declare the Senate in recess anytime there are not enough senators present on the Senate floor to do business. Under that theory, almost any night after dinner the president would be able to appoint Cabinet secretaries and even Supreme Court justices for up to two years without a Senate vote.
The majority opinion in NLRB v. Noel Canning was written by Justice Stephen Breyer, a liberal appointed by Bill Clinton, writing for five justices. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote a separate opinion for the four conservative justices that took a very different view of the Recess Appointments Clause that would restrict presidential power more significantly, but agreeing Obama's actions were unconstitutional.

Your Doctor Knows You're Killing Yourself.

Hospitals Spy On Your Purchases to Spot Bad Habits!!!

You may soon get a call from your doctor if you’ve let your gym membership lapse, made a habit of picking up candy bars at the check-out counter or begin shopping at plus-sized stores.
That’s because some hospitals are starting to use detailed consumer data to create profiles on current and potential patients to identify those most likely to get sick, so the hospitals can intervene before they do.
Information compiled by data brokers from public records and credit card transactions can reveal where a person shops, the food they buy, and whether they smoke. The largest hospital chain in the Carolinas is plugging data for 2 million people into algorithms designed to identify high-risk patients, while Pennsylvania’s biggest system uses household and demographic data. Patients and their advocates, meanwhile, say they’re concerned that big data’s expansion into medical care will hurt the doctor-patient relationship and threaten privacy.

Police/DHS Are Entering Kid’s Irises Into A NATIONAL DATABASE

This is the most disturbing story I've had the displeasure to write about, not only does Big Brother spy on us, our families & kids they're collecting their irises!

Worcester, MA - It takes less than a minute to enter a child’s information into a national missing person’s database. All it takes is a photo, some general information like height and weight, and a quick scan of your eyes.

It's happening across the country!

Click herehereherehere & here to read more.
(Note: scroll down to the middle of the page to view the Rumford police child iris scan pics.)

“The eyes don't lie,” said Lewis Evangelidis, the Worcester City sheriff. “The eyes are the identification.”

It's a part of Evangelidis' child ID iris scan program.

The department has been using the iris scanning program for years among the county's seniors where thousands of adults with Alzheimer's or dementia have been scanned. The program has been used among children at fairs and community events, but for the first time the sheriff brought the program to a Worcester public school. The program is free to those who sign up and can be used to quickly identify children who are either lost or may have been abducted.

"We try to see in what ways we can improve the safety for the community and this seemed like a no-brainer. We have the technology and have been using it for seniors and why not extend it to children," said Evangelidis who has joined 1,300 other sheriff's departments implementing this technology with children. "In the end, it's another tool for public safety."

What a load of crap, it's Big Brother's (police, politicians) B/S answer to spying on us, claiming its about public safety!

Why does DHS need our irises, fingerprints & driver's license pictures (facial recognition)?

It's about control! Please, Please stop feeding us the same crap over & over, that its about our safety!

The Child Project national registry is maintained by the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children, a non-profit based in Phoenix. Once digital photos of the children's eyes are made, the data is analyzed and a 688 byte code is created and put into the database. Any law enforcement agency with the proper equipment - which is now prevalent, according to Evangelidis - can easily scan a child's eyes and get an identification along with contact information for the child's parents.

What's the common denominator for spying on us? Money! See below:

In 2012 The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children made over $48 Million Dollars!

Their salaries range from over $100,000 to less than $56,000.

Remember non-profits make millions of dollars it's all about profits.

The process requires children to have two pictures taken, one of their eyes and one regular digital photo for identification purposes. Parents must sign off on the program, according to the sheriff's department, and the iris information is erased from the system once the child turns 18.

The camera captures an up-close look at the iris, which is the colored part of the eye.

The sheriff says the iris is ten times more identifiable than a fingerprint. It's the one part of the body that will never change.

“Fingerprints wear out, fingerprints can be compromised. Your iris cannot be,” he explained.

The Center For Missing Kids also has a fingerprinting program.

Sheriff Evangelidis has been using the program with senior citizens for years. Wednesday was the first time it's been brought to a public school.

Close to 500 Nelson Place School students lined up to get their picture taken. The students are days away from summer vacation. The sheriff says it's a perfect time to get their information in the system.

“This iris scan is a national database, so if you travel in the summer and something was to happen, you'd be part of that database in any local law enforcement no matter where you were,” Evangelidis explained.

Evangelidis also uses iris scans at the Worcester County House of Corrections to identify inmates.  He calls the technology the next generation of identification, but says it shouldn't replace traditional child ID kits that use fingerprints.

“You know it's always good if you've got the potential to have a safety kit with fingerprinting. I'd recommend that too,” he said.

What a surprise, police want our kids fingerprints, dental records, school grades, etc.

Government Spying Has Reached A New Low!
